Students are recommended to read The Cathedral and the Bazaar by Eric Raymond. This book can also be purchased in print form .
Unix scripting notes. The OHPs are also available. Completing as much as you can of the scripting tutorial will help you progress in system administration.
It is more important to complete the SMTP Email Tutorial Exercises. than the scripting tutorial if you are short of time.
Linux Kernel development process case study.
Students are reminded that an in-class written test will be held between 15:00 and 17:00 covering open source development methodologies, community norms and licenses. This test is open book but computers can not be used.
